Grégoire JOUCLAS
INALCO
Grégoire Jouclas holds a master's degree from Inalco in Japanese language and literature and is interested in the intellectual history of modern and contemporary Japan. He studied at the University of Bordeaux-Montaigne and at the Osaka Prefectural University. He plans to write a thesis on the intellectual career of Watsuji Tetsurô.

FFJ/Christian Polak Prize special mention
Grégoire Jouclas received the 2021 FFJ/Christian Polak Special Mention of the prize for his report entitled « Du matérialisme historique au concept d’aidagara. Analyse d’une appropriation des idées marxiennes par Watsuji Tetsurô » (From historical materialism to the concept of aidagara. Analysis of an appropriation of Marxian ideas by Watsuji Tetsurô).
