Nam S. Lee est chercheur associé de la Fondation France-Japon de l'EHESS en lien avec l’axe 1, "Diversité des capitalismes et changements institutionnels". Il a rédigé en 2017 un research statement intitulé "Under what circumstances can a latecomer surge to be the global player? The Case of Samsung Electronics in Korea ". Il a également pris part au projet européen INCAS (2015-2019) porté par la FFJ.
