Akira Takeishi is Professor at Graduate School of Economics, Kyoto University. His research primarily focuses on the management of inter-firm division of labor, innovation process, and the music industry and technological changes. His papers have appeared in journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, Journal of the Japanese and International Economies, Soshiki Kagaku, and Hitostubashi Business Review.

Akira Takeishi has been visiting researcher at FFJ in 2015-2016. During his stay he participated to the FFJ visiting researcher seminar and wrote a Research Statement and a Discussion paper with Yoshihisa Noro (Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc.): “Keiretsu Divergence in the Japanese Automotive Industry: Why Have Some, But Not All, Gone?”.
