Kotaro FUKUHARA is a PhD candidate at the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, the University of Tokyo. His main areas of research interest are agricultural and environmental history and agricultural meteorology. From 2008 to 2014, he had worked at Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc. as a Researcher.

Mr. Fukuhara is a recipient of the 2016 Air Liquide Junior Research Fellowship at the Center for French-Japanese Advanced Studies in Paris. He will conduct the research program titled «Elucidating the driving forces of the dietary transitions: A case study for consumption patterns of edible fats and oils in France and Japan during the 20th century».
